How We Perform the Procedure
Because this is probably the most easiest procedure we offer at Pickett Family Dental in Keller, we create a composite to match the color of your tooth, etch into the surface of the tooth that we’re applying the composite to, and coat it with a conditioning liquid to support the bonding process.
Once we apply the resin, we shape it to match the tooth that is the symmetrical opposite. After it’s shaped, we harden it using ultraviolet light and then polish it until it matches the rest of your teeth perfectly. The entire procedure takes 30 – 45 minutes, with more time if there’s multiple teeth being done.
How Long Does Teeth Bonding Last
This really depends on your personal oral habits, from what you eat, to chewing on your nails or other objects. The better you treat the tooth, the longer it will last. If you take proper care of it with healthy oral habits, the tooth boding should last up to 10 years.
