“I had a crown from a root canal, in a problem years ago, maybe 30 years ago. And I broke off the crown, and I broke off the piece that held it on. So, when I came in, they looked at me and said, “Okay, this is a huge problem. You need a bridge.” And once they said that, then I said, “Well, let’s go ahead and fix the whole smile,” because I had been waiting to fix my smile.

My front teeth had been wearing down, and getting smaller, and smaller. So, my wish list included beautiful front teeth for a pretty smile. And that’s what I got.

I either had to have an implant, or a bridge. So I went with a bridge, which meant I was going to get crowns on those three teeth for the bridge. And so, I wanted the other three teeth that we were going to do, to make my beautiful smile, to match.

My smile, when I was younger, was good. I always had kind of small teeth. But as they were wearing down, I was getting very self-conscious about my smile. Now I’m not. Now I smile all the time. I love coming to visit Dr. Pickett. One of the things I love about him so much, is when he comes in, he’s so excited to see, like the work he’s done. My teeth, right now, when he looks at me, he just can’t stop smiling. He’s really proud of what he does. And he really cares about me.

Once when he had temporaries on, before I got my permanent ones, he called and had me come back in, and told me he had been worried about me, how long I had been with the temporaries. I didn’t realize he was thinking about me at all. So, that was really nice. He seems to really care.”
